Inter-Terminal Transport
Automated People Mover (APM)
The Automated People Mover system facilitates the transport of passengers between the main terminal and departure concourses within the secure zone.
On the eastern side of the main terminal, two APM lines transport passengers to and from Concourses 1 and 3. On the opposite western side, two more lines offer access to Concourses 2 and 4. Additionally, a newly established fifth line operates outside the secure area, connecting passengers between parking garage 3 and the new Terminal C.
Shuttle Bus Service
Travelers have the convenience of a complimentary shuttle bus service, available 24/7, that connects Terminals A, B, and C. The shuttle picks up and drops off passengers at space B29 on level 1 outside Terminal B and at the arrivals area on level 6 outside Terminal C.
Pedestrian Mobility
Within the main terminal at Orlando International Airport, the APM is the primary mode of transport to all departure concourses, as there are no walkways directly linking them. However, passengers can walk between gates within the same concourse or to an adjacent concourse on the same side of the airport.
Each security checkpoint grants access to two concourses. For instance, if a traveler needs to move from Concourse 3 to Concourse 1, they can alight the APM at Concourse 3 and board another APM directly to Concourse 1. This route does not apply to international arrivals, who must undergo customs and immigration procedures.
While MCO lacks electric carts, passengers requiring mobility assistance can coordinate support through their airline.
Below are the walking distances within the concourses:
Concourse Minimum Maximum
Concourse 1 515 feet/157 meters 812 feet/247 meters
Concourse 2 479 feet/146 meters 903 feet/275 meters
Concourse 3 467 feet/142 meters 944 feet/288 meters
Concourse 4 200 feet/61 meters 600 feet/183 meters
Once security is cleared in Terminal C, you can freely walk between all gates within the terminal.
Security
MCO is equipped with three security checkpoints: one on the west side of the main terminal for gates 1 to 59, another on the east side for gates 70 to 129, and a third in Terminal C on the second level.
On the airport’s desktop website (or just a quick scroll on mobile), you can find regularly updated wait times for each checkpoint, helping you decide when to arrive to pass through security smoothly.
TSA PreCheck
At MCO, TSA PreCheck lanes are available at both east and west security checkpoints, operational daily from about 4 a.m. to 8 p.m. Travelers who are part of this program enjoy quicker screening processes, where they are not required to remove light jackets, shoes, or belts, and can keep laptops and liquids in compliance with the 3-1-1 rule in their carry-ons.
For new enrollments, MCO houses a TSA PreCheck Enrollment Center on the second level of Terminal B, near baggage claim 23, open Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. and then from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Global Entry for International Travelers
MCO offers Global Entry kiosks for expedited re-entry into the United States. Additionally, the airport hosts a Global Entry Enrollment Center on the third level of Terminal B, close to the food court, and offers Enrollment on Arrival for qualifying passengers.

The Mobile Passport Control app is supported at MCO, enabling faster U.S. entry for eligible travelers. Users can complete their Customs and Border Protection Declaration Form through the app upon arrival and then show their instant receipt and passport to a CBP agent for accelerated processing.
